A Catch Up-Mellen's Wedding, Halloween and Becoming a Grown Up

Hey Ya'll! So it's my second blogging post (I promise I will stop counting after this one!) So I have been wanting to play around and explore with posts like learning how to add pictures and such so I decided to play catch up because the past few months have been a whirlwind! So let's play catch up in pictures. (Thanks to all those who I'm stealing pics from too :>)

So the first one, is of me and my best friend Mellen who got married on September 20. I was her maid of honor, and what a great honor it was! We had so much fun! The wedding day itself was a bit exhausting but it was beautiful. She married a great guy and it was a great ceremony. This is my favorite pic from that day and I even got to wear the dress again recently at a ward formal.

The second one is from Halloween! We had a Stake dance/activity and I went with my roomate and some of our friends. From left to right we have Rachel, the RedBox, Meredith, I'm not sure what she was but Meredith is so amazing she doesn't need to dress up :) and then Maryvonne my roomate was a gypsy and I was a doctor. I really just went for the most comfortable costume ever because I had to dress up for work too. The kid who sits next to me at work dressed up as a "banana in pajamas" so that was pretty entertaining....

Ay Bay Bay! This is me as a little baby, but unfortunately we can't stay in that stage, or any stage for too long. I feel like I'm becoming a real grown up now! Earlier this month one of my good friends had her first baby! A real one of her very own! ah! And about a week later I had to fill out insurance papers at work. I officially get insurance in February and I'm excited about it...?! Excited about insurance? That is definitely a grown up thing. Last year at this time I had no insurance, living by the seat of my pants, the real rebel way and I had my two best single girlfriends, one was dating someone (who she married on Sept 20) and the other just dating around. Those two wild single girlfriends are both now old married folks and one just had a baby. What happened! They are married and having kids and I'm excited about insurance. Is this what being a grown up feels like? Okay, if that is the worst part, then I guess it's not all that bad....

Happy Thanksgiving!

My First Blog!

Happy Thanksgiving! Welcome! So this is my first try at blogging. I have been introduced to it by friends and think that it is intriguing in many ways. First of all, what a creative way to chronicle daily events. One blog that I love to read is Melissa's (touch of blis) because she is soo creative and makes unique posts out of what some people would consider mundane tasks, now that is the beauty of life. And it helps me to keep in touch with her ;) Also, I am hoping that my blogging will help me keep current with people, especially my technologically challenged mother. She is just now becoming a pro at email, but unfortunately hasn't learned how to hit 'reply' yet, and I talk to her about three times a week over the phone, but I know that by checking blogspot she will think she is being tricky and spying on me, when really I kind of expect her to check it. Also, I am a very private person so I consider it a heavy challenge to write...err type about my happenings and feelings for everyone to see. But I feel up for it, so bring it on...
So, a bit of a recent update, I cannot believe that this year has passed so quickly! It is already almost Thanksgiving. Where did it all go? I moved and switched jobs this year which sounds pretty exciting but both were not too big of changes. I moved literally down the street. And the job I got was one I really wanted so I'm pretty happy with it. I work at Alpine Credit Union and I love it. It is mundane at slow times, but that just allows me to delve into new things, like blogging, so no complaints! I also work for Provo City Parks and Recreation Department, and love that too! I ref volleyball and soccer and scorekeep for the rest, softball, basketball, etc. I love that job too and it is pretty perfect for me because I only work a few nights a week. So that's pretty much it for me, no boyfriend, I'm totally single and well...living with it :) We'll see what happens in that area. I have made wonderful friends here in Provo and they keep me entertained. They're pretty much the best friends a girl could ask for. And, I'm so lucky because since I've decided to not travel home for the holidays, they are "taking me in" and are helping me to still feel that holiday spirit. :) ah, I love them.
So that is pretty much my life right now. I am enjoying it and working on making it better by the minute. I've now survived my first blog without extreme pain, so I think this will be a good thing ;)
