Uh-Oh...

It's February! Valentine's Week! What! When did that happen!? Ok, in keeping with my new years resolution to blog more here we go....

Saturday morning as I was on my way out the door for work-early, way too early-this is what I saw.....

Someone heart attacked us!! It was amazing, actually almost scared the begesus outta me because I was like 'what in the world...oh...hahaha...' We have no idea who did it either and they must have done it early cause my roommate came in about 12:30 and I was out the door a little after 7 am. Totally made my day!!

So work on Saturday was looongg...I watched about 6 Jr. Jazz games and since I was just supervising I didn't have a whole lot to do, so the scorekeeper and I played a little game of would you rather.... His would you rather almost made me vomit in my mouth-Here you go...Would you rather lick chocolate syrup off your grandmas back or peanut butter off your grandpas feet? HAHAHAHA! Gross!!! So..what's your choice? I chose chocolate syurp because I like that better-but gross. just gross.

Saturday night was pretty unexpectedly fun too. We decided we were getting a group of friends together to go to Boondocks-it's like a big arcade and they have laser tag and go carts- lots of fun stuff. Well about 30 minutes before we leave I find out that my roommate's boyfriend was planning to propose while we were there! Yeah, talk about shock. So I was pretty giddy but couldn't say anything to her the whole night (Bummer!) So we played around for a couple hours, it was way fun but so much funner because everyone was in on it and she had no clue. We always joke about it, him proposing, her getting a ring, etc, so when we first got there we were standing around where the prizes were and she was like 'ring pops, there George you can propose with a ring pop' haha. We all just looked at each other and smiled and she of course thought she was so funny-hahaha! I love suprises. So finally at the end of the night we were all turning our tickets in and George had talked with the managment at Boondocks and had given them the ring box and flowers and they put the ring box in with the ring pops and so he's like 'ok, babe, what do you want- I'll get you a stuffed animal, whatever you want' and of course she wanted a ring pop so he's like ok, I'll take that ring pop right there (the big ring box) and then they gave it to him and he drops to one knee and proposes! Ah, it was so cute to watch!! And of course I am sooo happy for them and way excited for her! So then of course she said yes and they brought out the flowers for her. Ah good stuff. So then we went back to our friends house and had a cupcake cake in celebration.

This picture we took before he proposed. It's so cute cause he looks nervous and she has no idea of what's about to happen!! hahaha. Love it!

The ring box in with the ring pops. Other people kept looking at it like what in the world. :)

Thr ring! AH! I totally gave my approval :)

CONGRATULATIONS GEORGE & HEATHER!!

So yeah, way exciting weekend! Now the diet starts since I have to get into a bridesmaid dress and look hot for the summer wedding! Yay! So much more to come-my lesson on balance this week, a new calling and Valentine's Day-my second favorite holiday!!

Lesson Learned

I teach Sunday School at church every other week. I absolutely love it. It's the most perfect thing for me because I love to teach but I'm not that passionate or knowledgeable about too many things, so I study the lesson, get passionate and knowledgeable about it and then teach it to the class. I love the class too-they are way funny and make really good comments so I end up learning a lot and we have discussion. I hate it when you are in a class and its just the teacher talking the whole time. So I hope I don't do that.... Anyway, so on Sunday I was teaching and the lesson was on the creation and how God created everything we have for us and the earth was created by Him, and so on. Well, it had been an especially rough week for me, I even thought about not even going to church-I really felt like crap and didn't want to teach but knew I would end up going-and I learned the biggest lesson from...my...lesson. It was towards the end of the lesson and I was just bearing testimony that what we were talking about was true. I was saying "I know that God created the earth for us, I know that He cares about us and He loves us sooo much, we are precious to Him" and inside my head there was distinctly the thought "Yes, Amy, even you. You are precious to Him. He loves you." Wow. It was weird but way cool at the same time. I learned such an important lesson-sometimes we need to heed the words we teach others. He does love us-all of us (yes, even me!) and He gives us little tender mercies at just the moment we need them. I am thankful for that and for the opportunity I have to "teach" Sunday School. :)

P.S. It's 5:00 on Friday so can I get a WOO HOO for the weekend!? And I'm going dancing tonight-sooo needed :D

BFF's

I love these two! Heather is my roommate and George is her boyfriend. They've been dating for about six months now and I don't remember life without George. We are like the three amigos, we do everything together and I love it. I just adore these two and couldn't imagine not having them in my life. And, today is George's birthday!! Yay!

Happy 21st Georgy!

hahahaha...

...so have you ever mis-typed a web address? Unfortunately, I do it all the time...I end up at www.blogpsot.com the mega site of Bible studies at least three days a week because of my fast paced fingers. It reminded me of a time that I was talking and typing and intended to check my email but instead of typing hotmail I typed hot male. Haha, don't do it...I don't remember what came up, I just remember covering my eyes and shutting the web browser as fast as possible. :) haha makes me laugh.

inspire.

Last year for a New Year's theme one of my friends chose a one word per month to focus on. I loved that idea because I love words and how one simple word can have so many meanings. I have a word for the day. inspire. I was just inspired.
So I love reading others' blogs and some days when I'm bored and curious (an interesting mix..) one blog will just lead to another and soon I'm reading someone's blog who I don't even know, but I know someone who follows their blog who knows someone who commented on that blog-and so on. Well, along this trail of blogs I have seen a button of NieNie numerous times. It seems that everyone has this button, everyone is reading NieNie, what is it with this blog? Then, this morning I was reading in the Utah Valley Magazine and they list the best things to do in Utah Valley-places to eat, shop, best bloggers-that's where I saw her. Her name is Stephanie Nielson. She blogs on http://www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com/ and has a tremendous story. From what I got from a quick google search, she and her husband were survivors of a plane crash. They survived but not without injury, she was badly burned. It's funny because she doesn't inspire me because she survived a plane crash, but reading her blog, I was inspired by the simple things that make her happy and the raw sense of life she has. She is refreshing. I'm hooked. I highly reccommend reading her blog. She's inspiring. :)

Other January news-my schedule has been crazy busy lately due to basketball starting up again. Now a few days a week my schedule is as follows...work from 9 to 5:45 then grab dinner and basketball scoring from 6:30 to 9 or 10:30. I complain about it being so hectic but really I wouldn't have it any other way. I love to be busy and I love both my jobs and am just grateful to have a job so no complaints here, just sometimes....it's exhausting. Good stuff though. Last night we had a Wii party. It was a blast. I'll have to get pictures developed to post--that's right-developed. I still use a film camera. Ha ha yeah, we were in Wal-Mart and I asked a worker where the film was and he just looked at me with a blank stare. I guess I need to get with the times, eh. Anyway, our most favoritest Wii game is Just Dance. Seriously, everyone should play it-it is amazing :)

2010

Whoa, has it really been 3 months!?! Ok, New Year's resolution numero uno-blog more. :) It's been a crazy life lately, but good as always. I cannot believe that 2009 is gone, and that 2010 is here. CRAZY! But there's lots to catch up on, so here goes...

::FAMILY:: So I went home for Thanksgiving. It was great! I love home and my family and Thanksgiving so this trip was destined to be all good. My first day was spent helping my dad prepare for Turkey Day and then being the 'moral support' to my little sister getting a tatoo. Now I don't support tatoos but I do support my little sister. She turned 18 that Monday and had decided to get a tatoo, she'd been talking about it for a while and had planned it out and everything, and she's a pretty responsible girl (this is the same sister who got a 32 on her act..) so I told her I'd go along to be supportive because I knew it would hurt like h-e-doublehockeysticks... And it looked like it did. I was pretty proud of her though because I'm a big baby when it comes to pain but she took it well, we just had to keep talking to her to keep her mind off it. Fun stuff. Then it was Turkey Day with all the family. My parents are divorced so every holiday is a day full of each side of the family-First it was dad's side, then mom's. It was nice seeing everyone and getting full and just relaxing. Aaahh...So nice! Then Friday we did a little shopping and I met up with old friends. Saturday the whole family went to eat at Red Lobster for Michelle's b'day. YUM! And Saturday night we partied with my aunt and uncle playing poker--who knew I could play poker! I whipped them all! And then Sunday I flew back to Salt Lake. Whew. Oh and did I mention-I had a horrible head cold the entire week.....Yeah, fun.

Me and Ali on Thanksgiving

::FRIENDS:: So this was my roomate Heather and I's first Christmas in our apartment. It was soooo fun! In early December we ventured out to get a REAL Christmas tree and totally succeeded. We got the best Christmas tree there ever was! And we decorated the whole house and it was all sorts of fun. We also got to do a couple other Christmas-sy things-We got to go to a Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert with Natalie Cole and we saw the lights at Temple Square and at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. Fun stuff. Christmas Eve was the best, Heather and George (her boyfriend) got home from her parent's house around midnight and I had dozed off on the couch so when they got home I woke up and we were like little kids, we decided that since it was after Christmas we could legally open all of our gifts. :D And thats exactly what we did. Heather and George had gotten a Wii so we stayed up playing that until about 3 am. Best. Christmas. Ever. :)

Our Stockings

Oh Christmas Tree!

::2010:: I'm pretty excited about 2010. It's even more excited that we're starting a new decade. Wow. And, 2010 marks my 10 year anniversary of being a member of the church too so thats pretty amazing to me. Where did that time go!?! Also, I am kind of obsessed with resolutions. I looove making them. Keeping them the whole year through is another story. But I've made a few already.... 1-Blog more. 2-Date more. 3-Get fit Haha, thats it. There's other things I started doing last year that I just want to keep up, like going to the temple weekly, and working out but hopefully those are already habits and not resolution material.

I think thats all for now. :) Happy New Year!
